On 6 February 2023, we held a memorial ceremony for the students and alumni we lost in the devastating earthquake centered in Kahramanmaraş.

The program honored the memory of students Seda Dinçer, İrem Uslu, Muhammed Fırat Pehlivan, and Abdurrahim Öztokmak, as well as alumni İbrahim Ozan Tekeli and Osman Çetintaş, who lost their lives in the 30 October 2020 İzmir and 6 February 2023 Kahramanmaraş earthquakes.
The ceremony concluded with the planting of an olive tree and the traditional distribution of lokma (a Turkish sweet), held in front of the commemorative monument.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to the families, loved ones, and the entire IZTECH community. May they rest in peace.
